Coles and Liquorland launched their festive campaign on Thursday, featuring a $4 bottle of award-winning Australian wine.
Coles and Liquorland, aware of the impact that the cost of living will have on families this Christmas, has released a new range of products for all budgets, including a bottle of Hidden Gem Semillon Sauvignon Blanc at $4.
Coles has curated its Christmas range, which includes almost 349 items of both existing and new products. This will help shoppers stretch their dollars.
Coles CEO Leah Weckert stated that the company was focused on producing a variety of Christmas products to suit any budget. These include store-branded Beechwood single-smoked hams, prosciutto-wrapped chicken breasts, French tartlets, and Black Forest Christmas Tree Cake.
She said, “We understand that it has been a tough year for Australians, who continue to feel the pinch from cost-of living pressures. This is why our range this year caters to different price points, so we can help all of our customers celebrate their Christmas, regardless of budget or plans.”
Curtis Stone, Coles ambassador, and Michelin Star-awarded chef, said that his family would be fighting over the Christmas roast pork and glazed ham.
“Mum always makes roast pork with crackling, and it isn’t super traditional. We have a large family, so we also eat ham and roast pork. We also have turkey occasionally… but my favorite recipe is an orange-glazed ham.
“We’re a modern Australian side, with a lot of traditions, but it ends in a backyard cricket game on Christmas Day.”
He has chosen prawns from the Coles range as his favorite festive food.
“My favorite thing to do at Christmas is eat fresh tiger shrimp. They can be prepared in so many ways. You can grill them on the barbecue, serve them on a platter of seafood with a dipping sauce, or mix them into a summer salad.
Coles Liquor Customer Mia Lloyd, the General Manager of Coles Liquor, said that there are more options than ever for perfect drink pairings during this holiday season.
“With 150 products in our range, I can say that we have a treasure trove for our customers. Some of my favorites are our Hidden Gem Semillon Sauvignon Blanc, which costs only $4 a glass, James Busby McLaren Vale Grenache, which won a Double-Gold at the Melbourne International Wine, Beer and Spirits Competition at $40, and Canard-Duchene.
