Macca’s Australia confirms you can buy ‘secret’ menu item from 90s

McDonald’s confirmed that customers could buy a menu item known as “secret,” which was popular in the restaurant during the 1990s.

Social media claimed that Australians could buy an ice-cream birthday cake for only $14.95.

Bec Hardgrave, from Brisbane, decided to test the rumor by purchasing the item at her local Macca’s Drive-Thru. The item was a favorite of McDonald’s Birthday Parties in the 1990s and 2000s.

Macca revealed how to obtain one after the fitness influencer shared her “nostalgic” viral video.

A spokesperson for news.com.au said, “We love hearing our customers share their special Macca’s memories.”

The nostalgic McDonald’s Ice-cream Cake is available in certain restaurants, depending on stock availability.

If you’d like to buy it, call your local restaurant in advance to see if it is available.

Ms. Hardgrave was inspired to check if the rumors were true because her birthday was “coming up.” She also had “fond memories” of McDonald’s Birthday Parties.

In the TikTok video, she says: “If you did not have a McDonald’s Birthday Party, you probably didn’t grow up in Australia. They were iconic.”

“And then, I remembered McDonald’s Birthday Cakes… like the Ice Cream Cakes.

Did you get one? “I’m sure I did.” I wondered if they are still selling those. Let’s check it out.”

Ms Hardgrave recorded herself ordering the cake at her local Macca’s drive-through as she drove in.

“I just wanted to know if you could make me a birthday cake with ice cream. “Or if you still sell them?” she asks a McDonald’s employee.

The clip shows her holding a Peter’s Original Party Cake that contains 15 servings. It is also available at Coles or Woolworths.

She showed the receipt as proof.

The employee gave me the box and said, “I’ve never seen this before.”

She ended her video with a description of the “elite” ice cream cake she “loved as a child.”

“Happy Birthday to me, even though it’s not until a month from now.” She said, “It’s never too soon to celebrate.”

Now I know what to do after dinner for the next few months.

Since it was shared with the world last week, her video has been viewed over 120,000 times. Many have called this discovery “amazing”.
