The charge will only apply to those who want items delivered from convenience stores, supermarkets, and bottle shops.
Uber Eats’ spokesperson stated that they do not expect this charge to impact many users.
The company stated in an email that most people already spend more than $10 per order when they shop on its platform. We don’t expect this change to be felt by many, but it will help us run a more efficient platform.
Since 2021, Uber Eats has offered purchases from Woolworths.
In April this year, the company partnered up with Coles to give customers a choice between two major supermarket brands.
